about

When I lived in Vermont, I was introduced to the term, "Flatlander," which meant me, and meant that no matter how long I stayed, I would always be a stranger in these lands, always be from somewhere else. I'll leave the not-so-subtle nationalism in that mentality alone for now, and say that I met this term as an equal, and as quite a fitting label when all was said and done. To feel as if no matter where you go, you will always be from somewhere else, is inherently queer. These songs explore that idea, and hopefully they are just vague and dreamlike enough that you might find in them something like a home.
